Parrot Tulips

The final bunch of  tulips – they were very long lasting and wonderfully flamboyant. Was hoping to paint them – made a start so perhaps something will happen eventually.

Bad News and Good News!

Bad News – I didn’t get into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year.

Good News – my self portrait will be in the Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Competition and Exhibition at Kings Place Gallery,London.

Chelsea Flower Show

Lucky me – had a last minute invitation to go to the Chelsea Flower Show on Tuesday evening. The sun came out, not too crowded – just right. Lots of grasses and hazy blues/purples/pinks with sprinkling of white amongst grey greens, yellow greens, blue greens – just gorgeous.

Spring in the Garden

It is a bit chilly but the garden looks so fresh and green I don’t mind.

Bury St Edmunds & Saffron Walden

A couple of days out to Suffolk/Essex in the sunshine. Visited Ickworth, near Bury St Edmunds, where the time by the church clock was nearly ten to three, but too hot for tea although there was honey.
