The final bunch of tulips – they were very long lasting and wonderfully flamboyant. Was hoping to paint them – made a start so perhaps something will happen eventually.
Bad News – I didn’t get into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year.
Good News – my self portrait will be in the Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Competition and Exhibition at Kings Place Gallery,London.

It is a bit chilly but the garden looks so fresh and green I don’t mind.
The bird bath – saw a speckly thrush yesterday

Rosa Banksia Lutea – named after Joseph Banks, he discovered it in China
Parrot tulips from the garden – had to rescue them from the March winds and April showers that we are getting in May.
A couple of days out to Suffolk/Essex in the sunshine. Visited Ickworth, near Bury St Edmunds, where the time by the church clock was nearly ten to three, but too hot for tea although there was honey.
